Economic Transformation leapfrogging Akwa Ibom state as an innovative and industrial Hub.

Akwa Ibom has the highest vibrant Youth population density. Jobs for the urban population will come mostly from the industries and service sector, including the ICT enabled Jobs. Our number one priority is jobs creation which Is to exploit the Green job mechanism that Climate change will open the door for with a deprecating Naira against major currencies. There are opportunities for exports and hence export_oriented industrialization. Akwa Ibom state will be positioned to attract industries to take the first-mover advantage considering its oil and gas-rich. We will harness the petroleum downstream and upstream sector to create jobs while also exploiting to scale economy of the relatively big domestic market (over 210 million people and 400 billion economies). Akwa Ibom should be the best to serve Africa and the world. We will leverage the entrepreneurial and community spirit of Akwa Ibom to create a more industrial economy. This will be enabled by a constant power supply, guaranteed security, efficient transport infrastructure, aggressive investment drive, technology and funded through innovative partnerships. We will leverage the entrepreneurial and Agricultural potential of our state to create a more industrialized economy.

We plan to attract 2,000 small, medium and large industries across the various industrial Paris/clusters. We will set up in the state medium and Small businesses typically employ up to 60% of Nigeria’s workforce and account for 5% of National GDP. Our economic plan for Akwa Ibom specifically targets growing mobilizing and Public and Private jobs to develop industrial Parks Catering to various categories of industries. Parks and Clusters will enhance industrialisation. Thousands of Akwa Ibom youths are fully employed resulting in a clustering of shared ideas, modern infrastructures ( Road, uninterrupted power supply, water etc) service personnel etc. To expedite our economic growth.

Our vision is to see such parties over time acquire more than 60% value via:

1: We will designate new locations as industrial Technology parks. and add to existing industrial Parks. The Government set aside at least 1,000 hectares of land for snail parks in the first instance and provide key infrastructure. The provision of such infrastructure via a public-private partnership (PPPs). We will actively seek out and encourage innovative compasses to make our industrial cluster their cost home while bringing down their production cost and measurably improving on the ease of doing businesses (EODB)

2: We estimate over 2,000 new medium to large businesses will be incubated within those industrial Areas within the lifetime of the administration

3: We will continue to harmonise tax and levy demand and seek tax-free/ export free zone status for our designated industrial clusters and reduce red tape that hampers business efficiency.

Youth Empowerment

A clear economic plan for Youth Empowerment

Youth empowerment will be transformed by Initiating them in the current Global Tech Base Jobs creation. The Youth are the bridge to the future. The Youth constitute the future of Akwa Ibom, therefore our innovation and sustainable Development Agenda is fundamentally beamed to creating a prosperous expected future for the Youth, empowering them to function and be productive, we are coming to teach them how to fish and not asking for fish.

The primary need of Youth is jobs, our target is to create at least 120,000 private sector jobs per annum, and target at least 500 Youth millionaires per year. In addition to the foregoing, we will continue and expand the appointment and involvement of Young men and women to governance, Establish business incubation hubs in all the 31 LGA of Akwa Ibom equipped with high-level technical expertise in partnership with relevant parties, (international development organization, big tech companies and academia) to transform ideals into burgeoning Start-Up, working with the organized private sector and international Venture Capital firms, in facilitating this plan, we will set up an annual #10billion early-stage /Venture capital fund to provide multistage funding for tech Startups and other Innovative business.

Consciously create a Digital Native We plan to train 10,000 youth per year on digital skills, this will be done by launching a statewide technology-focused training programs in partnership with the private sector to develop digital skills (Web & App Development, digital marketing, Data Science, Artificial intelligence AI, Cloud Computing, IoT, Machine learning, Arduino Technology, Graphic Design, UX/UI design e.t.c)

In addition to upskilling from a technology standpoint, we will also focus on developing and upskilling the Youth to prepare and take a sizable opportunity in Green Jobs that Climate Change will provide to ensure that each Youth has a minimum of two to three skills that will enhance their productivity. Opportunities- skill acquisition schemes (digital, entrepreneurship, management, vocation etc.)

Above all, I believe in open, accountable, and collaborative leadership for inclusion, we will hold periodic Town Hall meetings, with critical stakeholders, and there will be the citizen Hotline(phone numbers, email address and Facebook page ) to interact with me.

As your Chief servant, I admit that I don’t know it all, I will need the advice and guidance of everyone. we will also network and seek the strategic partnership of the Federal Government, private sector, the Church, DFIs, foundations, other states, civil society and support Group organizations, town Unions etc. as we chart the future we seek.

Electricity

Constant Power Supply

We are determined with full force to crack the nut on power inadequacy in Akwa Ibom state to achieve a 24hours uninterrupted power supply in the state. Developing the building of new power plants that will be supplying all the industrial Parks, mega cites, communities. Thus if elected into office, we will constantly work with relevant agencies of government and the Port Harcourt Electricity distribution company (PHEDC) to improve electricity supply through increased investment in electricity infrastructure in the state.

A few billion Naira investment to modernize a few strategic transmission lines realign connections and transformers etc will be given deliberate and quick wins to provide up to 18hours of electricity in key locations.

Work in harmony with the electricity regulation commission (NERC) and private sector investors to provide electricity generation through a combination of captive embedded and off-grid generation for the use of business in Akwa Ibom.

We encourage private investors to explore renewable energy sources such as solar in expanding our energy mix.

Invest in gas infrastructure as our state had a high deposit of gas. This will push us to more innovative gas infrastructure such as piping to designated locations for power generation in our State.

Gas is critical to industrial development, we will pay a much premium to Gas to Power in ensuring we close the huge gap in the supply of gas to the domestic market by ensuring adequate investment is made to the contribution of Gas to power, this will contributes to more Energy needs of our people.

Health care

We will provide best hospital for you

Our goal is to provide access to quality and affordable healthcare for all residents of Akwa Ibom. We will strengthen the existing healthcare facilities the previous Govt have done and I can assure you that they have done tremendously well in that sector. We are coming to strengthen it and make it accessible to all in furtherance the increase the statewide reach quality health delivery across the state with massive investment in infrastructure and employing the capable medical professional to continues delivery an unadulterated and quality health care to all sundry.

Furthermore, with advances in technology, opportunities for global networks/ collaboration and the huge stock of Akwa Ibom in frontier medical practice, we have the potential to build an international centre of excellence in Healthcare.

The action plan includes:

Conduct a gap analysis to assert the level of intervention required to meet minimum global standards across all Healthcare facilities in the state.

Total upgrade infrastructure equipment and hire requisite qualified personnel to achieve Optimal service delivery in the Akwa Ibom Primary Healthcare system.

Harmonize the relationship between PHC, secondary and the tertiary level of health care to have an understanding of the referral system that originates from PHC to ensure the full working and understanding relationship among the three tiers of Health delivery. Expanding all primary Healthcare facilities to have resident Medical Officers providing primary services to our men and women in the community, and leverage modern, trustless, secure, and transparent technology to maintain health data.

We will set up a healthcare policy framework as state-wide guidance, adjusted in line with the peculiarities of each level of healthcare facilities, and strengthen coordination and regulatory functions of the Akwa Ibom Ministry of Health and all relevant departments in the Ministry saddled With regulatory functions (Medical, pharmaceutical, Nursing, and Medical support services Department)

Rapid improve infrastructure and Access to Quality Healthcare:

Meticulously equip all Healthcare institutions with effective user-friendly software for electronic data collection and e-medicine.

Determine to raise the quality of all General Hospitals in the state to world-class standards through investments in infrastructure, diagnostic equipment, continuous professional development and public-private partnership.

Drive into establishing Mobile clinics in Major markets and Communities as the first point of medical engagement;

Explore telemedicine to improve Healthcare access ( Bolt, Taxify Rica etc for health care)

Upgrade infrastructure and personnel at teaching hospitals, and primary health centres with actively seek collaboration with international health institutions, leverage technology to manage public healthcare records.

Prioritize Education

Education and Strong human capital constitution formulation for Akwa Ibom people. “Education is the bedrock of every Nation ” As Nelson Mandela rightly said ” Education is the greatest weapon to developed the world. We pride ourselves and we pay much emphasis on education. The previous government has done tremendously in the educational sector and we are going to sustain the giant strides and do more to complement the efforts of the past administration by massive investment in key infrastructure and learning tools for enhancing the quality of learning for all students.

Human capital is the only renewable resource. We are going to engineer and strengthen the STEM, Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths in the state to reach its potentials by revamping and investing heavily in the plan to better our Educational Standard.

Let’s me States that my Government are going to run FREE EDUCATION in the state from the basic level to the secondary level, making sure that every child of school age is adequately enrolled in the free Education plan the Government is offering its people, for rapid transformation of the mind and character of our people.

We are going to stretch the educational facilities in 31 LGA and revitalize the decaying to be made useful for Student’s intellectual enhancement and Skills Development. Building more classroom blocks with the state of Art Facility to enhance learning.

Conclusion

Building the mini- Dubai of our New Akwa Ibom state will challenge all of us to give our best to the state and build our dream. I have volunteered myself and the experience I have garnered so in Business, leadership, Technology, Governance and industrialization for the past 20 years in running a Conglomerate Company which are still standing and waxing strong in the international business space. As a reputable and organized Chain of Business Empires people have built trust and confidence in its operation over the years as a robust Business Pyramid globally. I call on you to also volunteer to serve the state because it is not an accident that God decided that you should come from the state. I implore you all to follow in my think tank philosophy ” WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE A POSITIVE CHANGE TO MY STATE. “Join me in the Dream of HOPE and UNCOMMON PROSPERITY of our dear State. I am convinced that God has willed that this dream is one whose time has come, with me and there no going back.

This ideology underpins our plan for Akwa Ibom. Our primary target is innovation, Sustainable development, inclusion for wealth creation, Green jobs, jobs, jobs.
