Breaking News: PDP Gubernatorial Screening Committee Clears Dr Ani Wellington

Dr Ani Wellington has been cleared by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) South-South Gubernatorial Screening Committee at its zonal office along Aba Road, Port Harcourt, Rivers State on the 28th April 2022.

The seven (7) man South-South Gubernatorial Screening Committee headed by the Governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency, Sen Diri Duoye has cleared Dr Ani Wellington to partake in the forthcoming Akwa Ibom State PDP Governorship primaries.

The screening committee Chairman, His Excellency, Sen Diri Duoye who addressed all the South-South gubernatorial aspirants shortly before the exercise began, had opined that, everybody who had applied and their names forwarded to them by the party will be screened today.

He also stated that, the committee thought it was expedient to invite all the aspirants and also interact with them and to assure them that, they were there as their brothers, colleagues and friends.

The exercise started with Cross River State gubernatorial aspirants, followed by Delta State, then Akwa Ibom State, which will be concluded today, and the host State (Rivers State) will follow immediately.

Amongst the 1st five gubernatorial aspirants from Akwa Ibom State screened was Dr Wellington, while the others will be screened this morning at 10am.

Dr Ani Wellington’s screening was successful after he satisfactorily answered all questions thrown at him by the committee.

Haven met the required perquisites of the screening committee, Dr Ani Wellington was declared fit to compete in the forth coming primaries to be held 21st of May, 2022.
